NOTES: (Species Sound: Frequent. Breeding Status: Territorial Paired; breeding. Behav. Context: Collelcting nesting material. General Climate: Arid. Cov. Density: Med.) Habitat - teak trees, very sandy soil, grasses in seed. Small bushes, trees spaced wide apart - very open inbetween.

Originally catalogued as Turdoides hypoleucus. Changed to Turdoides leucopygius after noting that the range of T. hypoleucus did not correspond with the location of the recording. The recordist also noted that this species has been split and this form is now Turdoides hartlaubii, a former subspecies of T. leucopygius. 16 Sept. 2002 -SBA

ML: Subject changed from Turdoides leucopygia to T. hartlaubii to reflect current taxonomy. -Matt Medler, 4 June 2015.
