NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 3. Bulk reel: 402; Extra cut(s) on bulk reel: 403; Extra cut length: 12:26a) 7:30 AM. First, some whistled song, given naturally, birds in distance. (Columba subvinacea is bird in foreground.) Quality: 2-3. Level: +10.b) Playback of a) brought the birds to tree near me, although they had been ~ 200 m. away. Quality: 1. Level: +2, +5.Then after playback of above. Quality: 1. Level: +5.c) 8:30 AM. After more playback, birds now down in lower growth very close to me. Focused on whistling bird, then focused on the other bird. Quality: 1. Level: 0.Note: While I changed reels, the birds left, but with playback they came back again. Note that both birds give the "guia-guia" calls. But only one bird gives the whistles (this bird has a greener chest) and it seems to give more of the "guia" calls. The other bird gives the other sound. This bird has a more reddish chest.
