NOTES: Tape counter 03-69. This sandhill crane was walking about at the shoreline area on some marsh reeds, floating and firm moss patches, picking up clumps of mud, inspecting them for edible material (crayfish?). The cranes breed in the regiona and are seen regularly at Otter Lake but I don't know if they are breeding/nesting there in 1994. Shoreline has broad expanse of floating veg. 50% clouds.
