NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 6. Bulk reel: 388. While recording Fluvicola pica I became aware of a strange sound in background and finally located it behind me, seeing just the end of what was presumably a mating display of the Jacana. The one bird at least was bowed forward but I didn't see enough to know exactly what took place. This is the sound that was recorded. (Prominent in the foreground is heard Fluvicola pica.) Quality: 3. Level: 6. Std. Parabola note: Yes, but pointed opposite direction. [Recordist does not specify what parabola used.] 311 tape. See also Misc. Ambient Cut 98 & Butorides striatus Cut 1.
