HE THEN BEGAN TO MOVE UP THE LIMB TAPPING FROM TIME TO TIME--EITHER TESTING THE RESONANCE OF THE LIMB OR SEARCHING FOR A GRUB-INFESTED SECTION; HE REPEATED THE PROCESS ON MOST OF THE OTHER MAJOR LIMBS OF THE TREE.
