NOTES: 2 songs (?) then a variety (female bg.?) annc't 1:40 3 song patterns 4.15 "female flies toohis vicinity when he sings that (last) song." Also: creek noise, identification, another titmouse bg. 4:20 "intruding male?" Location: near Portal Az. on other side of creek, near nest hole about 20' high in sycamore(?) Q 2,1-2. [This represents Baeolophus ridgwayi NOT B. inornatus. This recording begins with the "tsicka dee dee" call of BNA (0:13, 0:19, 0:47, 0:52) combined with soft, lisping "sip" calls (0:17-0:19, 0:22-0:27, 0:37-0:46). Most of the recording, however, represents song, with three different song-types given (0:56-3:00, 3:24-4:43, 4:57-5:07). Additional "sip" notes are heard at 2:56-2:58, 3:03-3:04, 3:08-3:12, 3:16-3:19, 3:23-3:24, and 4:44-4:46. I am not sure if the series at 1:06-1:12 is a song or a call; in fact, I'm not even sure it was given by this species (though it appears that it was). Quality added (2 - approaching 2-1, but with a bit of what I suspect is wind noise in the background) - CAM - 29 March 2005]
