Weather: Cloudy, fair. I was on site @ 6:05 AM. The first display was heard @ 6:20 AM, then some "ao" talk, not recorded. Recording started ~ 6:25 with "ao" calls, then a display (followed by excited call of one bird); then some faint "whine" calls. Then another display, also followed by calls. After this, nothing further was heard up through 7:00 AM.
Note: Playback of the displays brought no apparent reaction. Quality: 2. Level: +10.
Note: Crax pauxi heard faintly in background.
Note: 25 Jan 1969. Rancho Grande; km 25; Weather: Clear (foggy and rainy during night. Apparently hard rains during the previous two days.
I was on site 5:55 AM.
Begin to see a bit light in sky 6:15 AM.
First activity noticed ~ 6:20 AM with the typical "ao" calls.
This lasted only ~ 5'. No displays heard at all.
Fairly light by 6:30 AM.
