NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 1. Bulk reel: 326
a) Natural song. (More natural song may be heard in background of latter part of Cut 1 of Grallaria guatimalensis. Quality: 2. Level: +10.
b) After playback. Bird was silent for ~ 10' and then first song was like those ini part a) but explosive (not recorded). The recorded songs are different from those of part a). Quality: 2. Level: +10.
c) After more playback (again long silence, app. whilel bird came in to have a silent look around. When it finally sang, it was in a different, unexpected place.
This song is again different although similar to part a). Quality: 2. Level: +10.
d) Again, at least 6' between playback and song. Quality: 2. Level: +10.
The next delay was only ~ 3' (ident. by two "clicks.")
e) This delay was again long. Quality: 2. Level: +10.
f) This time bird started singing while I was still playing back. (The good recording is not really the typical song as represented in a). Quality: 1. Level: +5.
Then a different song; bird "far away." Quality: 3. Level: +10.
