NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 4. Bulk reel: 321
This wren sang only this phrase. Playback would not bring out the bird nor cause it to sing more. Quality: 1-2 Level: +5.
The quality is quite different from Henicorhina leucosticta, rather like Thryothorus coraya but the phrasing is unlike any T. coraya that I've heard.
On Frisch's Amazon record there are songs that he attributes to both T. leucotis and T. coraya that are phrased somewhat like this. However, he has two faintly ident. on that record that I recognize so far, and so I lack confidence.
(Note: See also Cut #3 of Myrmeciza ferruginea for what may be some alarm calls by this species, in which case probably were given by the bird of the following cut. See also Cut #7 of Caryothraustes canadensis.)
