These seem to be contact calls but they are phrases in series succession (like Cut 2a?) given ~ like "song." These were being given by a foraging bird that is no doubt one of the pair with nest under construction (Cut 5). Occasionally (near end) the mate is heard in "reply." Quality: 1-2, Level: +5; 1, 0; 1, -3; 1, 0. 175 tape. [Recordist indicated that he used a parabolal but did not specify make/model.]
Note: In response to playback of this recording one bird quickly came up to within a meter of me, giving constantly a vocalization like (or nearly like) the "dawn song" at beginning of Cut 5.
