    Equipment Note

NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 2. Bulk reel: 259
Cloudy after rain. Typical two-beat drum; very likely same bird as Cut #1. Quality: 2. Level: +5.
In background are heard two Trogon violaceus males and more in focus what was apparently a female of same species; also hear T. viridis? or melanurus?
At end are some vocal sounds that seemed to be coming from woodpecker (after playback of drumming to which the pair responded actively) but this is not at all certain. They did not respond to the playback of their sounds and as they came from fairly close to ground these sounds may not have been of this woodpecker.
