    Equipment Note

This bird did not call long from one perch. It moved twice during the recording and again at the end, when it flew beyond the ability to follow it. The two breaks in the recording represent the times when I moved to follow the bird.

Habitat: Small, deeply wooded valley in coastal foothills.
Cover Density: Thick.

ML: Subject changed from Trogon citreolus to T. melanocephalus to reflect current taxonomy. -Matt Medler, 10 March 2010.
