[This rather long recording has eight parts. With the exception of the third part, the recording contains exclusively "ker-wee" calls by the close bird (177 examples). More of these same calls and several "whinnies" by at least two other birds are evident in the background in the earlier parts of the recording. The third part contains three good "whinnies," apparently given by two different birds (4:58-5:49). Also included are calls of Fulica americana (3:14-3:21, 5:30-5:49) and what appear to be the flight calls of migrating Catharus ustulatus in the background in places (e.g., 10:43, 11:03). Quality added (2-1 - though approaching 2 in the beginning and 1-2 near the end - the BEST "ker-wee" calls are at 9:03-11:25 and the the "whinnies" at 5:30-5:39 are good, but be sure not to confuse the calls of coot in here) - CAM - 12 April 2005]
