Description of birds in Cut 12). Male and female rufus above. Male gray below with wide black band on wing bordered above by buffy white and below by buffy. Female had brown rather than black wing band; below was more buffy brownish than gray. This is somewhat different from deSchauensee's description. Also I recall that checking skins in Museo in Sao Paulo I thought birds seemed more like M. guttata!
