NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 9. Bulk reel: 151 [LOUD gunshot at 10 sec.]
Weather: fair. Usually after a loud noise these birds will sing and at times set up a series of strange whistles. I tried to produce some of this with a gun shot and this is the result. It is somewhat less than usually happens. Then there was a little reaction caused by thunder. Then I tried another shot. Quality: 1; Level: 0. (See Rhytipterna simplex, Cut 3b [LNS 62548], for a loud, odd-type whistle.).
