NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 3. Bulk reel: 118
*Identification not certain but thought reasonably so .Note: This is the same "song" as Cut 2b of Thamnomanes ardesiacus!! Both Stuart Keith and I got a glimpse of the bird and it looked like the female of this species. Also I recall having collected a male in 1966 that was giving a similar call, a constantly repeated down-slurred churr.
First natural. Quality: 1. Level: +3.
Then after playback. Quality: 1. Level: +5.
[Recordist indicated that he used a parabola but did not specify make/model. He also did not indicate type of microphone used.]
[Note by recordist pertaining to Cuts 1-3 of this species]: Ed Willis does not recognize any of these sounds as corresp. to Th. caesius. 29/1/73.
