NOTES: USED FOR 'MORE VOICES OF AFRICAN BIRDS'. I HAVE ONLY SEEN THE MALE SING. IT IS QUITE CONFIDING AND YOU CAN OFTEN APPROACH IT CLOSELY WHILE IT IS SINGING. IT HAS TWO SONGS, BOTH RECORDED HERE: CRESCENDO SONG - A LONG SERIES OF DEEP COOS IN MARCHING TIME, FIRST VERY SOFT, THEN GETTING LOUDER; WHISPER SONG - PHRASES OF DEEP, QUICK, VERY SOFT COOS, ABOUT TEN TO A PHRASE, REPEATED AT FREQUENT INTERVALS. WITH BOTH SONGS, THE BIRDBEATS TIME TO THE COOS WITH ITS TAIL.
