THE BIRD'S SONG IS WEAK, IT IS UTTERED SPORADICALLY FROMSEVERAL DIFFERENT PERCHES USUALLY AT A HEIGHT OF 8-10M. THE FIRST NOTES OF ASONG WERE USUALLY LOST BEFORE THE RECORDER WAS STARTED. THIS BIRD ANDSOME OF ITS NEIGHBORS USUALLY RESPONDED TO PLAYBACK BUT ALMOSTINSTANTANEOUSLY WITH A SINGLE SONG SO THAT THIS METHOD DID NOT SERVE.THE SQUEAKY NOTES WHICH INTRODUCE THE SONG ARE ALSO USED AS ALARM NOTES AND ASCHALLENGE NOTES TO OTHER MALES. BOTH USES CAN BE HEARD ON THIS RECORDING. ONE OR MORE BIRDS.
