NOTES: BUZZ OF WINGS AND CHITTER-TYPE VOCALIZATIONS. BIRDS FEEDING ON NECTAR AND/OR INSECTS IN BLOSSOMS; OCCASIONALLY CHASING OTHER RUBY-THROATS. MOST OF THE RUBY-THROATS SEEN OR NETTED WERE FEMALES WITH A SCATTERING OF IMMATURE MALES. MALES WERE RARELY SEEN. PROBABLY ALL THE VOCALIZATIONS ON THIS CUT WERE MADE BY FEMALES. STYRAX ARGENTUS IN BLOOM AT EDGE OF SECOND GROWTH WOODLAND.
