    Equipment Note

In first section, I approach it while it is perched. It allows me to bring reflector within inches. Other hummingbirds passing by. Nearly all sounds given in flight. Sharp vibrant sound near end of tape is given at bottom of pendulum dive.

BNA: The first few parts of the recording contain either the sounds of the bird flying off (0:14-0:16, 1:03-1:05, 1:08-1:09, 1:14-1:18, 1:20-1:21) or nothing that was given by this species. The last part, however, also contains some soft Chip Notes (1:25-1:34), a few Chatters (1:43-1:44 and 2:30 - decapitated), what may be the latter part of the aerial dive display ("zingat"; 1:27, 1:34, 1:37, 1:40, 1:495, 1:53) and one full "pzzt-zingat" given during an aerial display (2:35).
