NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 8. Bulk reel: 77
Brown tape.
a) 24/VI/68. 5:40 AM. Calls of a bird flying back and forth along the "west ridge." In the latter part two birds are heard (also Tachyphonus rufus). Quality: 2-3. Level: +12.
b) 25/VI/68. 5:25 AM. More of same. Quality: 2. Level: +12.
c) 25/VI/68. 5:55 AM. Calls of at least two birds flying around. Quality: 2. Level: +10.
Note: @ Cano La Urbana, near main camp, 6:00 AM, saw a large bird shaped like L. semitorquatus and it also flew so. However, it seemed very large. EArlier I had heard calls, also similar, but again, seemingly louder and fuller. Then ~ 7:00 PM, 12/VII/68 bird heard @ Cano +4 km. and some of this appears recorded in latter part of Cut 18b) of Micrastur semitorquatus.
