NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 9. Bulk reel: 71
Weather: Fair.
a) "Weak screams" after playback of hoots of Cut 8. See comments under Cut 8. In this case the bird was clearly seen and identified. Quality: 2. Level: +10.
b) After a long silence and then repeated playback of "weak screams" of Cut 4, a bird in same spot as in part 1) gave these "hoots." I think that in the interim the bird of 1) had flown away but I also believe that these hoots may really be of A. clamator, although perhaps the mate of bird of part a), if not same bird. When I tried to see the bird it flew but it was in same spot and from the direction in which it flew I shortly heard a "series bark" which I have now definitely identified to be of this species. Quality: 2. Level: +10.
