NOTES: MYLES THINKS THAT THIS IS A CALL FROM APUS HORUS BUT IS NOT COMPLETELY CERTAIN. THE FOLLOWING IS AN EXCERPT FROM MYLES' FIELD NOTEBOOK - 'HORUS SWIFT FLYING PAST LOWER CLIFFS. THINK I RECORDED CALLS WHEN THE BIRDS PASSED A CERTAIN PLACE WHERE THEY MAY NEST. (NO HOLES SEEN AT PRESENT).' SAVANNAH WITH OPEN PLAINS AND VALLEYS WOODED WITH ACACIA XANTHOPHLOEA. RECORDED IN THE MORNING. THIS CUT FOLLOWS LNS 5991 AFTER A SHORT TIME LAPSE.

ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Coracias naevius naevius to Coracias naevius to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
