a) This bird had been singing further away and came closer after I whistled it in. However, I noticed no change in the voice. Quality: 2. Level: 0.
b) With further whistling, the bird did alter slightly its voice, especially on subsequent whistlings and playback. Qualitiy: 1-2 to 1. Level: 0.
Voice note re: experiments with playing back the songs of Otus atricapillus (and watsonii) from Peru and Venezuelaand of Glaucidium minutissimum. (Bird apparently not interested in any but its own song.)
