NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 8. Bulk reel: 36This recording obtained incidentally while leaving the recorder "running wild" illlustrates a bird's waking song, starting with single notes, then shortly changing to two-note phrases, then three-note after some time. At about this time can also hear the one-note song of M. ruficollis. Then the gilvicollis stops while ruficollis continues. The recording is cut before the latter finished "singing"; it did not go into a "dawn song." Quality: 3. Level: +12.M. mirandollei is also heard.Note: See Myiarchus ferox, Cut #2, for recording of this species in natural dawn song from another locality = Ant. Pico's ~ 40 km north of Tumeremo 8 May 1961.
