Level: +5.b) I then played the prepared field tape of M. ruficollis from N. Central and the Andes. The bird obviously reacted. I didn't see it approach me but it became silent and then started singing from a new perch nearer to me than it had been. This song is still the same "single-note repeated" type.*I didn't see the bird but believe from call and its reaction it must be this species.
