NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 12. Bulk reel: 20; Extra cut(s) on bulk reel: 21
Weather: Fair.
a) "Dawn song" given naturally, no doubt by one of the birds of Cut 11. Quality: 2-3. Level: +5.
"b") "Dawn song" by two birds from close at hand, brought in by playback ofo the field tape. One has a slightly higher voice than the other which is in focus. Quality: 1. Level: +5.
"c") When the birds stopped singing, I played back b) and then focusesd on the other bird (i.e. the higher-voiced bird). Quality: 1. Level: +5.
The lower-voiced bird stopped singing but remained on same perch in tree. The higher-voiced bird was then collected = male buff breast #5238.
