NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 1. Bulk reel: 12a) Natural "display song" from a bird in flight. During the song the bird "butterly flutters" its wings. Although I saw it reasonably well, I could not identify with certainty. Quality: 2. Level: +5. Std. Brown tape.b) After playback the bird came down to tree and sang while perched there. However, it remained almost totally hidden and I could not entice into a good view, either to identify or to collect.*By comparison with Cut 2, where the bird was collected and identified beyond question, there seems to be little doubt that this recording is of this kite. 17 Nov 1974.
