NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut #10; LNS bulk reel 01; [MF inadvertently erased some information here about extra (long?) cuts on the bulk reel.]
a) 8 Feb 1972. 6:55 AM. Weather: Cloudy, light rain. A bird singing regularly at the upper tip of the Isla Cigarron. Alipio, the indian, decided to try to obtain it (didn't succeed) and crossed the arm of the river to the island. At times the bird's broke into a falsetto, perhaps because of Alipio's imitations. In the first part of this cut I believe all the calls are by the bird. Quality: 3. Level: 0.
b)After this point some of the calls are def. by Alipio (e.g. the 1st heard; the 2nd is by bird). Quality: 3. Level: 0.
c)6:50 PM. Weather: Fair. Bird (or birds; 2 phrases, each apparently by a different bird; it is possible the 1st bird "adds" one note @ end of second bird's phrase) on the Isla Cigarron; probably same as recorded in the morning. Quality: 2. Level +3. This is ~ similar to this [arrow pointing to next cut (LNS 58719)] but the third bird's reply is delayed. Quality: 2. Level: +3.
