NOTES: 35 miles East of Long Lac, on Hwy 11. "Alarm notes of male carrying food." [This contains both the "Check" calls and what appear to be the "downslurred whistles" of BNA. Both calls occur throughout the recording, with whistles at 0:11, 0:15, 0:19, 0:22, 0:25, 0:28, 0:30, 0:34, 0:41, 0:46, 0:49, 0:53, 0:57, 1:15-2:02 (11 distant examples), 2:10, 2:17, 2:23, 2:40, 2:48, and 2:53. The BEST "Check" Calls alone are at 2:26-2:39 and BEST whistles are at 0:15-0:35. Note, however, that the whistles are different from that shown in Figure 2C of BNA account both structurally and in the sound frequency of the note.
