Background sounds are of attendant Antbirds in the vicinity of an army-ant swarm. The B. platypterus was about four feet above the ground. speculation: the subject was acting as an opportunist on army ant fleeing prey items (as do army ant following birds). Bird flew to a higher perch of about 25 feet.
