NOTES: BNA: Song.
(Breeding status: Territorial; Sp. sound: freq; Gen. Climate: cyclic wet-dry; cover den: sparse)

[This is basically mimetic song, with vocalizations of the following species identifiable: Sayornis nigricans, Phainopepla nitens (churr), Carduelis psaltria (calls), Junco hyemalis (calls), Baeolophus inornatus, Carpodacus mexicanus (song), Catharus guttatus (calls), Sialia mexicana (calls), Pipilo crissalis (song), Regulus calendula (song), Lanius ludovicianus, and Anthus rubescens (calls). Also a good series of "tink-ul" combined with several other types of calls that I could not identify by ear (1:56-2:35). Quality added (1-2 - this appears to be the BEST recording available for this species) - CAM - 6 January 2005]
