NOTES: (Cat. #56106 A & B. Breeding Status: Territorial, territorial paired, breeding. Gen. Climate: Arid, cyclic wet-dry. Gen. Habitat: Bushed woodland. Cover Density: Open, medium.) The feeding taps of one parent can be heard behind the young calling from the nest (background). This young male (it was now seen that the nestling was male) almost gives a "wikka" call. The male was netted and ringed. He has been seen a number of times in the years since (to 1992). The young almost-fledged male did give a "wikka" call several - towards the latter part of the cut [sic]. Male and female drums are heard. Field annotations all are included.
