NOTES: (General Climate: Cyclic wet-dry. Water Assoc: Lagoon?) Played back the call notes, the bird moved around me and called and gave a song in response. Bret Whitney feels the "snort" in the song is a mechanical noise made by the bird when it flies up briefly while singing. This bird did "snort" but I cannot say that the bird actually took to the air.
