NOTES: Other social: Winter roost Other category: ? (Annoyance) (Winter) (Medium dense cover) (Cyclic wet-dry climate) NOTES ON DATA FORM: Recording made at Long-eared Owl roost. Habitat is a brush row located adj to cultivated wheat fields. Calls recorded were made near dawn. No site I.D. was made of calling bird othe to verify it was owl, either long-eared or short-eared. Since no Short-eared Owl have seen seen in this roost, assume it is long-eared. Type 2 tape but inadvertently recorded on normal setting. Only one bird recorded, but it flushed several times.
