NOTES: (General Climate: Humid; Cover Den: Open) Perched at high grass-stem, nervously flicking tail and wings. Parabola held in its direction, though not 100% sure whether the bird made the 'tic' calls. BNA: Alarm notes (sharp "chips") are heard. CZ 28/05/2004. [This appears to represent almost exclusively the sharp, "chip" Alarm Call described in BNA account (and hihglighted in LNS #45226). There are three examples of what may be the deeper, "chup" call (0:28, 0:39, 0:53) described in BNA, but based on the proximity of both call types at 0:53, I suspect that these two call-types were given by different birds. I also cannot be completely certain which calls are referred to above as the "tic" calls, so it is possible that two species are involved here [??] Quality changed from 2 to 2, 2-1 (better after gain is dropped at 0:25) - CAM - 15 March 2005]. Other Behaviors: Emit Alarm, Perform Visual Display. Habitat: Grassland.
