Site: downhill from Figuerola's, in trees at edge of house-in-the-hole.

Plumage: body dull brown, streaked with green head & breast light green and streaky; bicolored pattern; wattles present.

Calls: "kik, "WEHK", "EK", "KYOK". (quiet notes not audible over other Bell birds)

not visible first cut. flew to exposed perch displacing one of all-green Bell bird, the others soon left too.

Background at start: squeaks from my movement. calls heavily ........ another close Bell bird calls "BONK", "EEE". thunder;
