Pycnonotus importunus, Laniarius ferrugineus, Francolinus spp. Sound Category: Song. Cut length: 7.0.) Second birds present with no "high" aggression, i.e. no whistle calls! Likely a female was visible as annotated 08.24 is annotated - 09.20 we collected a voucher specimen LL Short #4424. Annotated field note re: collection and behaviour in response to playback used to enable collection of this voucher spp. (16 gm). No malar stripe.
PART B: (Time: 0824-0908. Date: 8 Dec 1985. Specimen collected. Identified by sight and sound. Confidence in ID: 100%. Bkground sounds: Pycnonotus importunus, Francolinus sp., aircraft. Sound Category: Song. Behav. Context: Singing in "song area." Cut length: 7.0). LL Short #4424 for specimen "complete" and "not complete" indicate the on/off missing the first prenote and shortening the interfigure interval. He sang from many positions (as do these Indicator spp we have worked with these last 5+ years) both within his focal tree and in a wider area around that tree. Collected 0920 a.m.
