NOTES: VOCALIZATIONS OF ONE OR MORE OF THREE WELL-FLEDGED NESTLINGS WHICH BIRDS VOCALIZED COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. NESTLINGS REMAINED ALMOST MOTIONLESS FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. ONE PARENT SAT IN A NEARBY TREE THE ENTIRE PERIOD OF THE RECORDING BUT WAS SILENT AND ALMOST MOTIONLESS. THIS RECORDING IS NOT CONTINUOUS, HOWEVER THE YOUNG KITES VOCALIZED ALMOST CONTINOUSLY. NEST TREE SURROUNDED BY SEMI-INUNDATED PASTURE. SCATTERED TALL TREES, DEAD AND ALIVE. 0845-0900 HOURS.

[This recording contains both "eee-grack" calls and lone "eee" calls given by nestlings (presumably used for begging?) Quality changed from 2-3 to 2-3, 2 - CAM - 23 November 2004]
