NOTES: (a) copy @ 15" (b) original at 7.5"
I came upon a pair with very small young in the shelter of some scrubby birches. The yg. could run a little. The adults called, leading them off, and occasionally gave the "flight display" sound, but womewhat abbreviated and from the ground. yg. heard peeping faintly near start.
Also heard: Orange-crowned warbler, snipe; a voice "Hey Roger (RTP) - a phalarope"
Improves as it goes along; last parts cleanest.
First part, at 15", is filtered copy to reduce wind rumble. Original, at 7.5", follows.
