[All of the vocalizations here from Calidris himantopus represent the "Rhythmically Repeated Calls" of Miller (1983. Auk 100: 440-451), or conversely, the "Eree" calls of BNA (eight calls in the first part and six in the second, the first and last incomplete). The "tweee-e-e-e-e-e-e" sequence referred to above appears to instead represent the "Male Flight Song" of Calidris alpina (see Figure 3B of BNA account or Figure 5d of Miller 1983).
