[This recording has eight parts containing a variety of different vocalizations. The first part has a single, decapitated "Song" followed by several calls that appear to have been given by Phalaropus fulicaria. The second part has a distant "Song" ending with a single "Rhythmically Repeated Call" of Miller (1983. Auk 100: 440-451), or conversely, an "Eree" call of BNA; it is also possible that the Song and RRC were not given by the same individual. The third and fourth parts both represent "Songs" (the one in the fourth part is decapitated), but these are unlike all other available songs of the species, so they may instead represent another species. The fifth part begins with a decapitated "Song" of this species, followed by "Chatter" (sensu Miller 1983, or "xxree" sensu BNA), and then four flight calls (2:14-2:16; possibly the "Toi" call of BNA) that may represent this species, apparently mixed in with more calls of Phalaropus fulicaria (?). The sixth part has a good "Song" by this species (2:53-2:59). The seventh part contains primarily "Rhythmically Repeated Calls" of two birds (3:25-4:01, 4:08-4:11, 4:21-5:34, the latter ones often distant), but also a series of "Songs", apparently by the more distant bird, at 4:00-4:06 and 4:11-4:21. Finally, part eight contains a relatively good "Song" followed by two RRCs. Quality added (2, 2-3) - CAM - 7 December 2004]
