NOTES: Weather: WIND; THE PAIR WAS IN A GUM TREE AT EDGE OF THE HIGHWAY. ALL OF THE LOUD AND VARIED VOCALIZATIONS IN THIS RECORDING WERE GIVEN BY THIS PAIR, THEIR YELLOW TAIL AND HEAD MARKINGSVERY NOTICEABLE. WELL-WATERED FOREST CHIEFLY OF WHAT I BELIEVE IS THESNOW-GUM (EUCALYPTUS CORIACEA) WITH SOMECLEARINGS AND BUSHES. WHEN NOT VOCALIZING THE BIRDS CLIMBED ABOUT SLOWLY IN TREES, WATCHED ME CAUTIOUSLY, RAISED CRESTS OCCASIONALLY; FLEW SLOWLY AND STIFFLY SHORT DISTANCES (THOUGH USUALLY CALLING WHEN FLYING). EARLY AFTERNOON.
