NOTES: OFTEN SILENT. BIRD MAKES THE MOST NOISE WITH WINGS. NOTE IS A SOFT 'COO'. THIS TAPE RECORDS THE PRINCIPAL PIGEON NOISES ONE HEARS IN THE BUSH, THE WING BEATS AND THE BIRD'S STRUGGLES AS IT BREAKS THROUGH THE LIGHTER BRANCHES OF TREES UNTIL IT GAINS A SOLID ENOUGH LIMB TO SUPPORT ITS CONSIDERABLE WEIGHT. WE HAD A PAIR HERE, AND ONE APPARENTLY WAS CALLING TO THE OTHER WITH A VERY SOFT COO ONE OF WHICH CALLS WE WERE ABLE TO RECORD NEAR THE END OF THE TAPE.003943 69- 1
