NOTES: SEVERAL BIRDS. A STORM WAS MAKING UP. HEAVY FOG LAY ACROSS THE TOP OF THE ISLAND DOWN TO THE 800FT LEVEL OR LESS. SOOTIES WERE FLYING OVER OUR CAMP FROM COLONY AT THE NW END OF THE BEACH TO THEIR 'NIGHTCLUB' GATHERING AREA AT THE SE END OF THE BAY AND BACK. THEIR COMMUNICATIVE CALLS SEEMED A BIT MORE ABBREVIATED THEIR CALL ENROUTE TO THE 'NIGHTCLUB' OR AT IT. NORMALLY THE BIRDS DO NOT MAKE THESE FLIGHTS THAN USUAL.
