NOTES: (Bkground Sounds: Cassette whir and buoy whistle. Species Sound or Soc. Contact: Infrequent. Breeding Status: Not breeding. Behav. Context: Annoyance. Visual Display: Yes? Env. Zone: Coastal. General Climate: Wet. Gen. Habitat: Estuarine. Cover Density: None. Copy Recorder: ATR-700, 2 trk.) This is what I refer to as Roh-roh-roh call. The call I call the Roh-roh-roh call sounds likek the Landing call given by herons at the colony and is generally given in association with an Arched Neck or Neck Extended display.
[Cut was off-speed.Vari-speed used on ATR-700, 9 o'clock position. ATR-700, 2tk copy at LNS.]
