NOTES: Background: ARENARIA INTERPRES (VERY SHARP NOTES AT 2:45); Background: LIMNODROMUS GRISEUS (TUTUTU AT 2:50); Weather: WIND; SAND BEACH RUNNING INTO MUD FLAT. DUETING IS COMMON. THE 'YEEYEEYEEYEEYEE' IS GIVEN WHEN ONE SANDERLING CHASES ANOTHER. + Alarm note. Background species - time to time in the rear and at times some of these dominate. Sanderling - no response to playback.

[This recording appears to represent primarily conversational "twittering" by several migrant individuals of this species amid a mixed-species flock of foraging shorebirds. There are also about five "Wick" calls given at the very end of the recording (3:24-3:30). Quality unchanged (2) - CAM - 2 December 2004]
