    Equipment Note

Four to six birds feeding in a small stream. At times, they uttered soft notes. If they flew, either because disturbed or voluntarily, they almost always uttered loud cries after taking off and after landing. There were sometimes long periods of silence (up to 10 minutes) that were not represented in this recording.

Habitat: Sluggish, weed-chocked stream in a pasture.
