A "tick tick trrr" call. Sometimes just the "trrr" is given. This sequence has been edited to eliminate periods between calling. Rallus elegans has not been listed in Puerto Rico as of the date of this recording. The

BNA: The 10 vocalizations here are homologous to the "Kek-burr" of BNA account for Rallus longirostris. Note also that this species remains unrecorded in Puerto Rico, so it is not unlikely that this instead represents Rallus longirostris (although similar to calls in ML 2878, the two are certainly not identical in pace or in frequency and both species are known to give calls very much like these).
