Media notes
BNA: I am not certain how much of this was given by the Porphyrula. I am confident that the sharp notes at 0:06-0:085, 0:095, 0:105, 0:11, 0:12 are those of Porphyrula martinica, the latter four representing the "chip" call described in BNA account as being like the noise of a bicycle horn or a falsetto toot of a 17th-century trumpet. I believe that there are also calls here of Fulica americana (0:11, 0:13) and I suspect that the deep "grunting" (0:085-0:125) may be that of Rallus longirostris/elegans. (CAM - 24 February 2005).
